The Arkansas County Sheriff’s Office contacted state police Monday afternoon requesting assistance with a death investigation. The deceased male body has yet to be identified, but his body was found in a roadside ditch off Highway 79 near the intersection of Gingerich Road. The man was allegedly killed from a gunshot wound to the head.
